Abstract

The following presentation describes the process of defining, developing, and implementing a quality management system based on ISO17020 for the Quality Unit of the Subdirectorate of Works and those responsible for quality at the national level, establishing the initial guidelines for inspection activities to comply with the requirements of the relevant technical documents of the quality management bases of public works contracts. The inclusion of this management system provides greater professionalism and optimization of resources to the Road Administration by conducting effective inspections, applying the professional judgment of staff, making the Quality Unit an effective tool to support the work of Construction Inspectors, reducing execution times, eliminating defects, and directly benefiting stakeholders.
