Abstract This document indicates the essential characteristics for the calculation procedure of deep corrugated steel structures, a system used for the design of large span structures such as bridges and large diameter tunnels. One of the most prevailing standards at the time of calculation design is the AASHTO LRFD standard, which provides special indications for reinforced structures based on deep corrugated steel plates due to their capacity to withstand flexural stresses in addition to the axial load request supported by their smaller corrugated counterparts. Among the most important characteristics incorporated in the study of large deep corrugated steel structures is the requirement to study the design by means of a finite element program; in the case of Tecnovial, the seventh version of the FLAC 2D sofwtare FLAC 2D is used for the study of its works. The contribution of this type of solutions in the field of road infrastructure is to generate designs for road crossings that can be assembled in quick times that are in line with the current needs of our industry.Abstract
